Making
Toy Theatres
by Brian
Marshall
Welcome to my
Homepage. You will find instructions, together with plans which
you can cut out, to make your own working model theatre.
An added bonus is
that I have also included scenery, characters, and a choice of
play scripts, enabling you to give your first performance in no
time at all. The theatre is printed out on A4 sheets on the thickest
card that your printer can handle. My Epson ink jet can cope with
160gms. However a more substantial result can be had by glueing
another piece of the card to the back.
My latest update (February 2002)
includes a new design for a theatre. The Fantasy Theatre needs
no glueing or folding to construct; just several flat, cut out
sheets with slots, that can be assembled or dismantled in seconds.
It can use the same characters and scenery as the other theatres.
The best result is probably achieved by printing the designs on
paper (the decorated front on special ink jet paper to bring out
the colours) and then sticking them on to a heavyweight mounting
board. However I am experimenting with sheets cut from old cardboard
boxes to save expense and help the environment.
I would be interested to know how
you get on e-mail
address.

Now turn to my WORKPAGE where I have put all the links for
connecting to the plans, scripts, and scenery etc. for building
one of the toy theatres.
